The Maze of Madness

I never thought I would write this, but I need to share my story with the world. Maybe someone can help me find my wife, or at least tell me what happened to her. We were on a vacation in Europe, visiting some ancient castles and ruins. One day, we decided to explore a mysterious labyrinth that was part of an old monastery. It was supposed to be a fun and adventurous activity, but it turned out to be a nightmare.

The labyrinth was huge, with walls made of stone and vines. There were no signs or maps to guide us, only a wooden sign at the entrance that said "Enter at your own risk". We thought it was a joke, or a way to make the experience more thrilling. We were wrong.

We entered the labyrinth, holding hands and laughing. We had a flashlight and a phone with us, just in case. We followed the twists and turns of the maze, trying to find the center or the exit. But after an hour of walking, we realized we were lost. We tried to retrace our steps, but every path looked the same. We started to panic.

We called for help, but no one answered. We checked our phone, but there was no signal. We turned on the flashlight, but it was dim and flickering. We felt like we were trapped in a horror movie.

We decided to stick together and keep moving, hoping to find a way out. But as we walked, we noticed something strange. The labyrinth seemed to change around us. The walls shifted and moved, creating new paths and blocking old ones. The vines grew thicker and darker, wrapping around the stones like snakes. The air became colder and denser, filling our lungs with a foul smell.

We felt like we were being watched by something sinister. We heard whispers and growls in the shadows, but we couldn't see anything. We ran faster and faster, but we couldn't escape.

Then, it happened. We reached a dead end, with a wall of thorns blocking our way. We turned around, but there was no other way out. We were cornered.

We screamed and cried, begging for mercy. But no one came to save us.

That's when I saw it. A dark figure emerged from the wall of thorns, like a nightmare come to life. It had horns and claws and glowing red eyes. It looked like a demon.

It grabbed my wife by the hair and dragged her into the wall of thorns. She screamed in pain and terror as the thorns pierced her skin and blood spattered everywhere.

I tried to save her, but it was too late. The wall of thorns closed behind her, leaving me alone in the dark.

I collapsed on the ground, sobbing and shaking. I don't know how long I stayed there, until I heard a voice.

"Hello? Is anyone there?"

It was a man's voice, coming from the other side of the wall of thorns.

"Please help me! I'm lost in this maze!"

I recognized the voice. It was mine.
